Extra Space, Built Properly
An extension is the biggest job most people ever have done to their house, so it pays to have one contractor who's responsible for all of it. We dig the foundations, build the shell, fit the roof and windows, and then our own electricians, gas engineers and joiners finish the inside.
Most of our extensions are open-plan kitchen and family rooms at the back of the house, often with bifold or sliding doors onto the garden. We also build two-storey extensions for an extra bedroom and bathroom, and wrap-arounds that join up the side and rear.

Do I need planning permission for an extension in Scotland?
Some single-storey rear extensions are permitted development, but many need planning permission, and all need a building warrant. It depends on the size, how close it is to the boundary and whether your house is in a conservation area. We'll help you find out early.
How long does a house extension take to build?
A typical single-storey rear extension takes a few months on site once approvals are in place. Double-storey and wrap-around extensions take longer. You'll get a programme with your quote.
Can you work from my architect's drawings?
Yes. We price from your drawings and warrant, or we can put you in touch with a designer we work with if you don't have plans yet.
Can we live in the house while the extension is built?
Usually, yes. Most of the work happens outside until the knock-through, and we keep the house sealed and safe so you can carry on living there.
Do you do the kitchen in the extension too?
Yes. We fit kitchens, so the extension can be handed over with the kitchen, flooring and lighting all finished by the same team.
